Our overnight group flight from JFK arrived at 10:30 AM in Prague, and we dropped our stuff at our Hotel Theatrino and started our trip at the Žižkov Television Tower, a fantastically bizarre example of high-tech architecture. By the foot of the tower, we talked about the types of experiences we hoped to have as writers and travelers in the Czech Republic. We then transitioned into an activity on close observations of cityscapes, inspired by Gay Talese’s essay “New York Is A City of Things Unnoticed.”
In the evening, we took the tram to The Charles River and boarded a dinner cruise for delicious Czech fare and spectacular views of the city. It was both high leisure and luxury, and we ate it up.
We called it an early night as we call work off jet lag. Resting up for the million adventures ahead!
