Walking Tour of the Jewish Quarter

The Jewish Quarter (Josefov) dates back to the 13th century, when Jewish persons were forced to vacate their homes and settle in this one area. Sarah Cramsey took us on an evening stroll of this richly historic site. Certain parts of Josefov have been intentionally maintained so the narrow street and looming steeples give a near-impression of what life might have felt like centuries ago.

After our tour of the deep and difficult history of Josefov, we crossed the river for dinner with a view. We had dinner at Hergetova Cihelna, on the bank of the Vlatna River. We watched the sun set over the Charles Bridge.
